Technical Notes:
All of the pictures were taken with an LG
G4 smartphone, but it stopped working when we were in Seville, Spain in 2017.
I later read that my LG G4 stopped working
due to a problem that LG was aware of, but, due to corporate greed, LG did
not recall the phones. As a
result, I do not recommend buying ANY LG products, given corporate policy
regarding known defective products.
I replaced the LG G4 with a Samsung Galaxy
S8.
Smartphone
cameras struggle a bit in lowlight situations, and that can sometimes cause a
slight distortion of the image.
But, overall, I am extremely pleased with the quality of pictures
taken by Samsung smartphone cameras.

Vermont
Fall Colors
2015
On October 4, 2015, Carolyn and
I flew from Tucson to Albany, New York; picked up a rental car; spent the
night in Albany; drove to Woodstock, Vermont, where we spent 3 nights at
The Canterbury House; drove to Stowe, Vermont, where we spent 3 nights at
The Arbor Inn; drove to Brandon, Vermont, where we spent 2 nights at the
Inn on Park Street; drove back to Albany, New York and flew home to Tucson.
While in Vermont, we spent the
days driving country roads and looking at the beautiful fall colors, at
hills and mountains covered in many shades of red, yellow, and orange. Several locals told us we were there
at what is called ‘Peak’, the height of the viewing
season. But maybe that’s
what they tell all the ‘leaf-peepers’.
The weather was sometimes cloudy
and sometimes sunny, but there was only one rainy day, so we were
fortunate.
This was supposed to be our last
leaf-peeping trip to New England, but we had such a good time that we might
make one more trip in a few years.
In the interest of full
disclosure, I have to admit that some of these pictures have been, ahem,
‘enhanced’.
