__________________________ Technical Notes: The pictures were taken with my LG G4 smartphone (the one that stopped working when we were in Seville, Spain in 2017) and with my Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone. Smartphone cameras struggle a bit in lowlight situations, and that can sometimes cause a slight distortion of the image. But I am extremely happy with the overall picture quality produced by smartphone cameras. I enjoy pictures with high color saturation, so when I processed these pictures, I frequently boosted the saturation, and as a result, the colors are not always 100% ‘accurate’. __________________________

Driving Trips to New Mexico and Colorado ~~~ 2017 & 2018 ~~~ On June 6, 2018, Richard and Carolyn left on an 8-day driving trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico and to Loma Colorado (near Grand Junction), where good friends live. We had made a similar trip in May 2017, spending two nights in the Pueblo Bonito B&B in Santa Fe – where we also stayed this year – and then we had planned to take the High Road to Taos and then drive the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway. But on the day we had planned to take the drive, the weather forecast for that part of New Mexico was for snow and a high temperature of 34 degrees. We changed our plans. This year we made the trip in June, and the weather was beautiful.
