__________________________ Technical Notes: All the pictures were taken with my LG G4 smartphone, and I’ve been so happy with the quality of the pictures from the LG G4 that I no longer carry a camera. Camera Update: The LG G4 smartphone stopped working when we were in Seville, Spain in 2017. After researching the problem, I discovered that the non-repairable failure was due to a known problem, but LG did not recall the cameras. No more LG products for me. I replaced the LG G4 with a Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone, and I have been very happy with the picture quality. Smartphone cameras struggle a bit in low light situations, and that can sometimes cause a slight distortion of the image. But I am extremely happy with the overall picture quality produced by smartphone cameras. __________________________

Rob & Lori’s Hawaiian Wedding On July 19, 2016, Carolyn’s son Rob (Richard’s stepson) got married in Hawaii at Marriott's Ko Olina Beach Club Resort on Oahu. His bride was a lovely young woman, Lori Fong. Carolyn and I flew to Oahu 2 days before the wedding and stayed in a duplex about 6 miles from the Resort. The duplex was in a down-home, blue-collar neighborhood, and everyone was friendly and asked about the wedding.
